Warranty and returns

We make every effort to deliver our products to you in perfect condition. However, should any damage or other issue arise during transport, you can make a warranty claim. You are legally obligated to inform us within two months of discovering the defect. If the defect occurs within the three-year warranty period, we will repair or replace the product free of charge.

The following warranty conditions apply:

  • All damage resulting from manufacturing defects will either be repaired by Glaskasten or replacement parts will be sent.
  • This warranty applies exclusively to damage to the display case itself and not to damage to any models placed inside it.
  • This guarantee is only valid if the usage and care instructions in this user manual have been followed.
  • Glaskasten cannot guarantee that the supplied mounting materials are suitable for all surfaces. If necessary, consult an expert (e.g., for plasterboard walls).
  • The warranty excludes damages that occur because of:
    • the assembly instructions in this user manual were not followed;
    • this display case has been misused;
    • the display case was not attached to a wall or other stable surface;
    • The display case may have been hung incorrectly or on an unsuitable surface – in case of doubt, a specialist should always be consulted;
    • The display case was overloaded – see the specifications for maximum load;
    • other electrical devices have been connected to the mains voltage output of a display case module;
    • If the glass case has been cleaned with unsuitable cleaning agents, please contact Glaskasten if in doubt;
    • the display case was exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time;
    • the display case was exposed to chemicals that can attack the materials of the display case;
    • the display case was hung or stored in a room that was too humid;
    • the display case was hung or stored outdoors.

Problems arising from improper use of the product are excluded from the warranty. Please refer to the instruction manual for proper use.

Cancellation policy

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or specification by the customer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the customer.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have 14 days to return your product. You will receive a credit note for the full order amount, including shipping costs. Only the return shipping costs from your home to the online shop are your responsibility. These costs depend on your location. Please refer to your shipping company’s website for exact rates. If you exercise your right of cancellation, the product must be returned to the seller with all accessories, in its original condition and packaging. To exercise this right, please contact us. We will then refund the amount due within 14 days of receiving notification of your return, provided the product has already been received by us in perfect condition.

Legal disputes

We recommend that you first report any complaints by contacting us. Should this not lead to a resolution, the European Union has established an online platform (“ODR platform”) which customers will soon be able to access. The platform can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/odr.
