Glaskasten cares about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We will never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Glaskasten. The effective date for the validity of these conditions is 05/12/2018, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes which data about you are collected by us, what these data are used for and with whom and under which conditions these data can possibly be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with respect to the personal data you provide to us.

Web shop software

WordPress

Our webshop is developed with WordPress software by ourselves. Our website uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored.

Web hosting

VIP Internet

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from VIP Internet. VIP Internet processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. VIP Internet has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. VIP Internet is obliged to maintain confidentiality on the basis of the agreement.

We make use of the services of VIP Internet for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. VIP Internet does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

To handle (part of) the payments in our webshop we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and city details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymised) data with third parties within this framework. All the above mentioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie will not store your data longer than permitted by law.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews through the platform of WebwinkelKeur. If you leave a review through WebwinkelKeur then you are required to provide a name and e-mail address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us, so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases WebwinkelKeur can contact you to give an explanation of your review. In the case that we invite you to leave a review behind we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this information for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the provision of services, for this we have given WebwinkelKeur permission. All the above mentioned guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

Transport 

If you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of several different companies to carry out the deliveries, depending on size and destination. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and place of residence with these companies. They only use this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that a transport company engages subcontractors, they will also make your details available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

Bookkeeping

We use offline accounting software to keep track of our administration and accounting. Your data in our accounts are therefore not accessible to third parties.

General purpose of data processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we ask for your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy by virtue of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Data automatically collected by our website are processed with the aim of further improving our services. This information (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation in fiscal and criminal investigations

In such cases, Glaskasten may be held to share your data on the basis of a legal obligation in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by the government. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered by law.

Retention periods

We store your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a forgetful request. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to store invoices containing your (personal) data, which we will therefore store for as long as the applicable period of time applies. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your order.

Your rights

In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we will only send copies of your personal data to your e-mail address already known to us. You always have the right to limit the data we process or have processed that relate to or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the e-mail address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you remove the restriction.

Right to transferability

You always have the right to have the data that we process or have processed relating to you or that can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days.
